In a significant move for India’s intercity transport sector, FlixBus India has officially partnered with Fleetx to launch an AI-enabled Dashcam Safety Initiative. This collaboration marks a major step forward in leveraging advanced technology to protect passengers and empower drivers through real-time monitoring and data-driven insights.
The initiative has seen the phased installation of dashcams across 100% of FlixBus India's fleet of 200 buses, with 50 units deployed in each phase.
Advanced AI for Real-Time Accountability
As the technology and implementation partner, Fleetx has provided a comprehensive suite of hardware, integration, and advanced analytics. The deployed AI-enabled dual-lens dashcams feature cloud connectivity and real-time event detection.
These smart systems include both road-facing and driver-facing cameras designed to identify critical behaviors, including:
• Driver fatigue
• Mobile phone usage
• Camera obstruction
When these incidents occur, they are automatically flagged, and alerts are sent instantly to the FlixBus 24/7 Traffic Control team. This allows for immediate intervention and proactive support, ensuring that safety protocols are maintained every kilometer of the journey.

Currently, the 24/7 Traffic Control team conducts real-time driver support interactions every week. These touchpoints reinforce safe driving practices and have already led to measurable improvements in driver behavior across the network.
